With Indian having started making bikes in 1901 and quickly becoming an iconic presence in the cultural history of the modern-era US, it was only natural that the comeback bike had much of the spirit old bikes so elegantly boasted on.

The 2014 Indian Chief Classic is powered by the all-new Thunder Stroke 111cui (1,818cc) air-cooled v-twin which shows a pleasant resemblance to the olden engines, but with the most advanced technologies and design Indian ever had.

The tank-mounted instrumentation offers a lot of info such as speedometer with odometer, digital tacho, fuel range ambient air temperature, average fuel economy, battery voltage, gear position, real-time clock, vehicle trouble code readout, heated grip level (if heated grips installed) and low engine oil pressure.

Even more, no less than 9 LED lights indicate cruise control enabled, cruise control set, neutral, high beam, turn signal, ABS, check engine, and MPH or km/h unit designation and a low fuel indicator.

The 2014 Indian Chief Classic also comes with ABS, keyless start and premium leather seats, with multiple custom accessories available. Base price is $18,999 (€14,300). Enjoy the photos after the jump. For more info on the 2014 Indian Chief Classic please visit Indian's website.
