2014 Honda CTX700T and CTX700N Recall Extended to the US

Just as we knew it would happen, the early ABS related problem detected in the 2014 Honda CTX700T and CTX700N in Canada, have caused the NHTSA to issue the recall campaign number 13V3007000 in the US.

The estimated number of affected vehicles is 235, and some more might add to these. The problem is pretty much the same, with the ABS modulator possibly failing and the owners losing the anti-lock functionality of their braking system.

In certain conditions and under very hard braking, the wheels of the 2014 Honda CTX700T and CTX700N might lock and skid, increasing the risk of a crash resulting in personal injury and/ or property damage.

Honda will replace the ABS modulator free of charge and they announced the recall begins on July 30, 2013. If you're riding either the 2014 Honda CTX700T or CTX700N manufactured between March 6 and April 11, 2013, you might want to ride to your dealers and have your ABS checked and updated if needed. Customers can also contact Honda at 1-800-999-1009 and ask about the internal recall JB0.
