Sad news for those waiting for the new 2014 CBR300R: Honda announced that the bike will not become available in march as initially advertised.
A new effective launch time was mentioned, somewhere in Q4 2014. However, no official explanations for this massive delay have been given, so it's only down to speculations.
While some say that Honda still has some old CBR250R machines they need to push, it's rather hard to believe that future customers who had readied themselves for the new 300 bikes will not be able to wait 9 months until they finally arrive.
The Honda CBR300R will replace the not-that-successful CBR250R. It brings a stroked out cylinder, 286cc of displacement, and a remapped injection which makes the engine good for 30.4 bhp.
With revised gearing, Honda now claims 85.3 mpg (2.75 l/100 km) from the CBR300R, and this means solid fuel efficiency. ABS will also be standard.
Now it's time for 9 months of waiting and I wonder what will the eager riders who were looking forward to their debut season do...
