Australians have been calling for Holden to bring back the Monaro since the coupe was discontinued in 2005, but the GM-owned brand was stubborn enough to keep the brand new Commodore only in four-door sedan, wagon and ute guises.
Now that General Motors has decided to put an end to Australian production in 2017, guess it’s time to forget about the Monaro, but not until we have a look at what the could might have looked like if built for the 2014 model year.
This brand new rendering comes via Theophilus Chin, who slashed the rear door off the brand new Holden VF Commodore and gave it a nice shade of blue. The 2014 Monaro would have made a gorgeous car and we bet Chevrolet could have made great use of a two-door version SS. A modern Chevelle maybe?
