Canada has been chosen as the host of the upcoming 2014 GS Trophy and this is the first time ever when this super cool enduro/adventure competition is held in the northern hemisphere.
BMW Motorrad indicated that the next year's GS Trophy will no longer be held in South America or Africa, but now the area has been decided upon. The exact location for the 2014 event is not official yet, but we can expect that it will be in either British Columbia or Alberta provinces.

The 9-day event will bring competitors from all over the globe, with teams being selected from Canada, Germany, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Russia, Austria/Switzerland, central Eastern Europe, USA, Mexico, Latin America, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, Japan and Korea.

All the competitors will be riding the new liquid-cooled BMW R1200GS, as opposed to the F800GS which was successfully used in the previous Trophies. The BMW GS Trophy is a biennial competition started in 2008. Stay tuned for more on the next year round. For more info, please check with the GS Trophy website.
