General Motors has recently gave us a press release talking abut the aerodynamics of the 2014 GMC Sierra. The company chose to hide the first photos of the 2014 GMC Sierra Regular Cab in the release.
The pickup comes with a 6.5-feet (meters) bed and we are being told that a version with an even heftier bed is on its way. When the 2014 Sierra is fully released on the market, the customers will be able to choose between three cab sizes and just as many bed lengths. Speaking of timing, the Regular and Double Can incarnations of the truck are scheduled to arrive this summer.
Of course, GM used the occasion to explain that its engineers have spent quite a lot of time testing the 2014 GMC Sierra in the wind tunnel. The aerodynamic enhancements that resulted are not only aimed at increasing fuel efficiency, but also reducing noise vibration and harshness.
GM advises us to keep the tailgate up, as well as add bed covers in order to take full advantage of the 2014 Sierra’s aerodynamics.
You’ll find the full information in the press release below (PDF file).
