Launched in June 2012, the Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG is - along with its bigger brother, the G 65 – probably the most brutish AMG in the Germans' current lineup.
Without an equal or even a direct competitor, the AMG-version of the G-Class has managed to triple G-Wagen sales in recent years almost by its own, and the 63 AMG only comes to reinforce the Sasquatch print that this 34-year old car still has in the luxury SUV/off-roader market.
The US-spec MY 2014 model is arguably the same car as the MY 2013, but a number of optional features are now standard and the basic equipment for this 544 (536 bhp) and 760 Nm (560 lb ft) of torque available on tap is more than impressive.
