2014 Formula One Regulation Changes Explained

The 2014 Formula One season will bring a lot of changes to the world’s most coveted racing series, beginning with switching from naturally aspirated 2.4-liter V8 engines to turbocharged 1.6-liter V6 units.

FIA’s new regulations will also affect aerodynamics, fuel consumption, the exhaust system, safety and many more. Understanding and explaining all these changes takes a lot of time and we have a feeling there’s a head ache somewhere in there too, but we have just the right thing for you.

BBC has put together a short video with the most important changes FIA prepared for next year, in which these are briefly explained by people that know what present-day Formula One is all about.

The 2014 season will debut in mid-March with the Grand Prix of Australia and will end in late November, in Abu Dhabi. Next season's calendar includes 19 venues.
