Ford Motor Co. has increased the starting price for its Escape crossover SUV by $230 for the 2014 model year, with the carryover model wearing a $23,595 sticker which includes an $895 destination and handling fee.
The price increase applies to all the models in the Escape lineup, including the range-topping Titanium, for which you need to get at least $29,995 out of your pocket. The 2014 Escape - Ford’s competitor for the Toyota RAV4 and the Honda CR-V - is on sale as we speak.
Available in three trim levels, the 2014 Escape can be had with a choice of three engines: 2.5-liter inline-four, 1.6-liter EcoBoost and 2.0-liter EcoBoost. The SE and Platinum trims can be ordered with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive, while the base model is available only with the former.
