This year, apart from the eight DTM M4 cars that will be racing for BMW under various sponsorships, there will also be a 9th model that will make sure everyone sticks to the rules.
BMW just took the veils off the 2014 DTM M4 Coupe Safety Car and we have to say it looks mouth watering. Decked with M Performance Parts just like the one used in the Moto GP championship, this model adopts a different chromatic, using another palette of colors.
This time we’re looking at a more serious car, that sticks to just black, white and gray. Up front we have a glossy black BMW M Performance grille joined by the M Performance front splitters and blade.
Going towards the back, you’ll notice the new mirror covers, side skirts and DTM Safety Car livery. At the back there’s a BMW M Performance carbon fibre rear spoiler, an M Performance titanium exhaust and a new diffusor.
Of course, since this car was built with a purpose, special amenities were also installed, like an LED light bar on the roof, KW coilovers, a fuel pump system for overseas transport, fire extinguisher and Recaro racing seats with Schroth harnesses, disassembly rear seat and a full roll cage.
