Dodge says their "ultimate no compromise" vehicle has been updated with advanced design and premium features which are supposed to make the Durango a solid competitor in the full-size SUV segment.

"When the Durango was first launched in 1998, it represented a breakthrough in power, size and style," said Reid Bigland, President and CEO of Dodge Brand. "Now for 2014, we're upping the ante by making it our most technologically advanced, fuel efficient and dramatically styled Durango ever. With countless class-exclusive features and best-in-class attributes, the new 2014 Durango represents the ultimate no-compromise full-size SUV."

The revised exterior includes a restyled front fascia with new Dodge crosshair grille and LED lighting technology, "standard class-exclusive" racetrack tail lamps for the revamped rear end. Inside, the Durango gained several infotainment and connectivity features, a 8.4-inch touchscreen, Blu-Ray player, new steering wheel, optional leather seats, and many more.

The Auburn-Hills-based company claims that the new Durango offers best-in-class towing of up to 7,400 pounds with the V8 engine and best-in-class V6 unit driving range of more than 600 miles on a tank of fuel. Speaking of powerplants, the Durango can be had with 3.6-liter V6 (290 HP) and 5.7-liter V8 (360 HP) engines, both mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard.
