Without any sort of media offensive or strong marketing backbone, Dacia is growing its product offering in leaps and bounds. First, the Lodgy MPV was shown in Geneva, followed by the Dokker van in Casablanca. By the end of the year, we should also have a new Logan and Sandero joining the range.
The information about the all-new Sandero actually came from Dacia UK, which is getting ready for the launch of the right-hand drive Duster crossover.
But the offensive isn’t going to stop there, as according to French magazine L’argus, a smaller hatchback called the Towny will arrive in 2014, costing from as little as €5,000 ($6,500). Renault plans to make the Towny a direct rival to the VW Up!, SEAT Mii and Skoda Citigo. This will be the cheaper model on offer from the French automaker, while the Twingo, likely to use the same platform, will rival the small three-door cars.
