While everyone is waiting for the 2015 Corvette Z06 to be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, the first official photos of the the Corvette C7.R have surfaced the Internet, revealing GM’s brand new race car.
Developed to replace the outgoing C6.R, the C7.R will compete in this year’s Tudor United SportsCar Championship, with its official track debut set to take place at the Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 25.
Chevrolet has yet to reveal details about the vehicle, expect the fact that it will feature an updated “Jake” logo, but the race car should be powered by an enhanced version of the 5.5-liter V8 engine found in the Corvette C6.R.
