Pratt and Miller, the people behind the new Corvette C7.R, or any other racing Vette for that matter, have released a four-minute video that documents the development and build process of Corvette Racing’s new track car.
Scheduled to make its debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona later this week, when the 2014 Tudor United SportsCar Championship will kick off, the Corvette C7.R will compete in the GT Le Mans class aiming to add its 11th manufacturers’ title at the end of the season.

The racer car is motivated by a naturally-aspirated 5.5-liter V8 engine, based on Chevy’s small block architecture, that sends power to the wheels via a six-speed sequential gearbox. Power figures are a mystery, but the C7.R packs more HP than the C6.R, which had 458 horses under the hood.
