The 2014 COPO Camaro dragster is set to become a classic car in the future, according to Hagerty, who recently announced its annual Hot List of future collectibles.
The list includes 10 vehicles built in the United States, Europe and Asia, ranging from sportscars to sedans and crossovers that have an MSRP of less than $100,000. While most of the nominees have what it takes for a car to gain collectible status within the next 25 years, we we’re surprised to find that the COPO Camaro was also included on the list.

Hagerty’s main argument is that Chevrolet builds only 69 examples of the $90,000 COPO Camaro each year. Fair enough if you ask us, but we think that GM’s only drag racer need more than a limited edition run to reach the heights attained by the original COPO for instance.

In other words, Hagerty’s Hot List includes three more US-built vehicles - the Corvette Stingray, Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X and the Dodge Challenger Shaker edition. The other cars on the list are the Jaguar F-Type R, BMW M5, Maserati Ghibli S, Alfa Romeo 4C, Nissan 370Z Nismo and the Ford Fiesta ST.
