Dual-sport bikes are already cool because of their ambivalent character which allows owners to enjoy riding legally on the public roads to the point where the off-road fun begins. And to make things even better, here's the 2014 Christini AWD 450DS.
Christini is famous for their all-wheel-drive system which adds critical grip to the front wheel when needed, with extremely easy operation via a dedicated engagement switch.
The Christini AWD 450DS is in fact the EPA-approved, street version of the Enduro bike: it comes complete with a license plate number, DOT tires, lights, turn signals and mirrors. And the full awesome character of an AWD bike!
So far the bike is available in carbureted version, the EFI model will be up for grabs from February 2014. The 450cc single is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the twin spar lightweight aluminium frame sits on beefy 48mm Marzocchi forks and a Fast Ace linkage-loaded rear damper, both adjustable.
Brakes employ a single 240mm rotor for each wheel. Classic 21"and 18" tires are used for the 2014 Christini AWD 450DS and both rims and tires are anodized.
An assortment of touring and off-road accessories is available, including a 1.5 gal (5.7-liter) auxiliary tank to go with the 2.6 gal (9.8-liter) existing one. The 2014 Christini AWD 450DS can be yours for $8,495 (€6,335).
