With very little enhancements added to the Chevrolet Sonic for the 2014 model year, General Motors has decided to hold the line on pricing for both the sedan and hatchback models.
According to Edmunds, the 2014 Sonic sedan starts at $14,995, while the 2014 Sonic hatchback fetches at least $15,595. Both prices include a $825 destination fee.
On sale as we speak, the 2014 Chevrolet Sonic features a rearview camera as standard on the LTZ and RS trims. LT buyers still need to check its box on the options list, but the mid-trim model comes with a promotional package that includes front foglamps, a power sunroof and Chevrolet MyLink.
There’s also a new optional safety package with forward collision alert and lane-departure warning systems available across the lineup, while new interior colors include Red Hot, Cool Blue and Ashen Gray Metallic.
As a brief reminder, Chevy introduced the brand new Sonic RS sedan and the 2014 Sonic Dusk at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year. Both vehicles are powered by a 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 138 horsepower, but the former has a six-speed manual with “unique gearing.”
The Sonic RS sedan is set to go on sale from $20,530, while the Sonic Dusk wears a tag that starts from $20,945. These special edition models will arrive in GM dealerships this spring.
