The Sonic RS sedan is powered by an Ecotec 1.4-liter engine that delivers 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque via either a six-speed manual transmission with “unique gearing” or an automatic gearbox with a 3.53 final drive ratio.

Other performance enhancements include a sport-tuned suspension, lowered ride height, while an exclusive front fascia with a deep air dam design and vertical intakes sets the sedan apart from the regular Sonic pack. Inside, the RS sedan will come equipped with aluminum sport pedals, sports leather-wrapped steering wheel, and leather-appointed front bucket seats with red accents.

The vehicle will become available in three exterior colors - Black Granite Metallic, Sliver Ice Metallic and Summit White - all with Jet Black leather interiors.
