General Motors has launched the 2014 model year Chevrolet Colorado at the 2013 Thai Motor Expo. Recently introduced in Australia as the 2014 Holden Colorado, the updated truck comes with a new diesel engine and Chevy’s MyLink infotainment system, among other updates.
The global Colorado will now feature a more powerful 2.8-liter Duramax engine that delivers 200 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. As expected, the 2014 Colorado will now return better towing and payload capacity, as well as improved fuel efficiency.
A power update has been introduced for the 2.5-liter diesel as well, taking it from 150 HP and 350 Nm to 163 and 380 Nm. Both engines will be equipped with new six-speed manual transmission, while the Hydra-Matic six-speed self-shifter will remain unchanged.
Inside, new features include Chevrolet’s latest MyLink infotainment system, seven-inch screen and navigation for the LTZ1 model, new Display Information Cluster and Park Assist. GM also added a new “Orange Rock” exterior color. The 2014 Colorado starts from RM570,000 in Thailand.
