The insanely fast and powerful Z/28 is not only Camaro that's been introduced at the 2013 New York International Auto Show. The SS version was there as well, no that anyone cares after seeing the 7.0-liter engine-powered iconic nameplate brought back to life.
Just kidding, of course. The Camaro SS is no slouch with its 426 HP output coming from a 6.2-liter V8 and can become quite a track racer once the 1LE handling package is installed.
We've already seen the Camaro's new styling earlier this week, but these official photos from GM allow us to get a beetle glimpse of the muscle car's updated design. Besides the functional hood vent and the larger lower grille, put there for cooling purposes obviously, the Camaro SS also got new head/taillamps and a narrower grille, just to point out the more evident alterations.
Pricing for the 2014 Camaro SS has yet to be released, and Chevy says production will commence in second quarter 2013.
