Introduced back in 2009, the Chevrolet Agile subcompact, which was developed by General Motors for the South American markets, received its first facelift for the 2014 model year.
While exterior changes are limited to redesigned bumper and grille and updated head and taillamps, the interior features a new steering wheel with integrated cruise control, paddle shifters, and new dials, graphics, and chrome trim.
The five-door subcompact is motivated by the same 1.4-liter Econo.Flex four-cylinder engine that delivers 97 horsepower when running on gasoline and enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 11.5 seconds a reach a top speed of 107 mph (172 km/h). When fueled by ethanol, the Agile has 102 HP at its disposal and the 0-62 drops to 10.9 seconds, while top speed moves up at 110 mph (177 km.h).
The 2014 Chevrolet Agile is on sale as we speak starting from BRL40,320, which means about $18,500 at current exchange rates, and can be ordered in ten colors.
