BRP announces they will be selling their all-new 2014 Can-Am Spyder RT in Japan starting from November 2013.
No price for the Japanese market was estimated, but since the base model retails for $22,999 (€16,965), we might figure that the Japanese price tag will be a tad higher.
The 2014 Spyder RT is the reverse trike which received the most upgrades for the new season, with a new Rotax engine being the most important. Can-An replaced the old twin power plant with a 3-cylinder, 1,330cc one.
The bar was raised in terms of power and torque, as the new Spyder can deliver now 115 HP at 7,250 rpm, with a whopping 40% increase in off-idle torque. Cruising speed brings rpm in the low 3,000s for a more fuel-efficient operation.
Available in both manual and semi-automatic versions with 6-speed and reverse transmission, the 2014 Can-Am Spyder RT is also equipped with ABS, traction and stability control, power steering and cruise control, with a plethora of other options available.
