The 2014 Cadillac XTS full-size luxury sedan has been officially launched in China, the manufacturer announced earlier this week.
Joining the brand’s existing portfolio in the world’s largest automotive market, which already includes the CTS, ATS, SRX and the Escalade, the 2014 XTS goes on sale with a choice of two engine.

Customers will be able to choose between the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit, which has been updated to deliver 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, and the naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V6 that generates 321 hp and 371 Nm (275 lb-ft) of torque.

Just like the US-market model, the Chinese XTS is available with Brembo high-performance brakes, the Magnetic Ride Control suspension system and the Bose Active Noise Cancellation features.

The sedan is also fitted with Cadillac’s Enhanced Safety Strategy II package, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation, Safety Alert for the driver’s seat and electronic stability control (StabiliTrak). The updates CUE system features Sogou Pinyin Chinese handwriting recognition and comes with integrated iPhone voice controls.

Inside, Chinese consumers will get cut-and-sewn leather, walnut wood, metallic trim and adjustable front and back seats. Both the 28T Platinum Edition and 36S Platinum Edition will include an additional chamois ceiling.

Available through Cadillac dealerships as we speak, the entry-level 28T XTS starts at RMB 499,900 ($80,600), while the 36S XTS is priced from RMB 569,900 ($91,900).
