Most people believe that all sportscars create downforce like racing machines. But due to issues with the ground clearance and pedestrian safety, an awful lot of them actually come with a bit of lift at very high speed.
As you all know, Chevy will unveil a brand new Corvette in Detroit in January, and they say the body of the car “was sculpted for optimal aerodynamic performance. Every line, every vent, every millimeter performs.”
We’re definitely not expecting any lift with this one! Though very little was revealed, the latest teaser trailer for the C7 Corvette indicates that, like with the ZL1, they worked a worked hard to make the car stick.
Expect to see a more modern sportscar than ever before with the C7. Big intakes, big exhaust and angular looks are what we’re hoping to see. However, it will still be something you man handle rather than a poised ballerina. And with a 0 to 60 time of four seconds, it will keep up with the best of them.
