Ladies and gentlemen, this is mambo number seven! Yesterday, an interior specialist who worked on the new Corvette told us that the exterior of the car draws you in. He’s right!
The car is much different from everything we’ve ever seen under the twin flag logo. The 2014 Corvette’s front end was recently leaked in, as a service manual scan of the “Front Brake Cooling Deflector Kit Installation” was sent to spy photographer Chris Doane by GM staff.
Right, getting back to the shape of the car. There’s a bit of Ferrari in there if you ask us, especially round the headlights and lower air intakes.
Compared to the C6, this new Chevy Corvette has a vented hood, which may or may not be standard, a new design for the side air outlets with three tips that look like they came from a World War II Mustang fighter. The nose of the car seems to have a new V shape to it which is probably there to remind us of the flag logo.
All in all, it’s the most interesting American sportscar built in this price range. The full reveal of the Cuvette is less than a month away now, and we have to admit we’re excited to see what’s really under the covers.
