German automaker BMW has announced US pricing information for its new 2014 X5 sports activity vehicle. Set to arrive in dealerships this fall, the third-generation X5 will become available with a starting price of $53,725, including the $925 destination and handling fee.
For this amount of cash, customers will be able to buy the rear-wheel drive sDrive35i, while the all-wheel drive option will add a further $3,000. If you’re looking for the diesel version, be prepared to pay at least $57,525 for your hard earned. Lastly, the range-topping xDrive50i will fetch at least $69,125.
As a reminder, the 2014 BMW X5 is available with a choice of three engines in the United States. The sDrive35i and xDrive35i are powered by a 3.0-liter TwinPower turbo inline-six engine with 300 HP and 300 lb-ft of torque, while the xDrive35d comes with an all-new 3.0-liter inline-six diesel unit with 255 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. The top-of-the-line xDrive50i has a bigger 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo mill that delivers 445 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque.
