The current generation F25 is the 2nd X3, following in the footsteps of the very successful E83. The model went on sale in 2010 as a 2011 model year and is due for a makeover.
These are some of the very first spyshots of the Mid Cycle Impulse for the X3, taken in China of all places. Rather than adoption BMW's brand new design language seen on the F30 and X5, the facelift stays true to the original.

Scheduled to make an international debut next year, the updated X3 will probably bow at the Detroit Auto Show in January, followed next April by a Chinese market reveal in Beijing.

Currently, the X3 continues to be imported from the US, where it's assembled at Spartanbourg alongside its bigger SUV brothers.

This facelift model is only partially camouflaged, indicating changes to the headlights, mirrors and bumpers that aren't even as extensive as the ones for the X6.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
