2014 BMW S1000R Rendered

While we (and pretty much everyone else) still don't have any decent photos of the upcoming naked version of the BMW S1000RR, the fellows from Due Ruote seemed to have lost their patience. No, they did not break into BMW's development labs, but have instead employed the creative mind of Raffaele Poblete (motorendering.com) to try and figure out a possible design.

Raffaele's machine is very cool, of course, but it's just a rendering, unfortunately. It brings forth a solid S1000RR heritage, though this approach might not be the most appealing to some. That is, people who would like the see an actual new bike instead of the old S1000RR with chopped fairing.

What should definitely be retained in full from the superbike is the mighty 193hp engine, possibly with a re-geared transmission to add a more streetable character to this roadster.

Now, some say that BMW will "dumb" down the new bike, and we can only hope that it will still be able to put up a great fight with the craziest roadster of the moment, the KTM 1290 Super Duke R.
