It's been an important week for BMW's Motorrad Division, no less than two important new models being released. After the launch of the S1000R model, the guys also unveiled the 2014 R1200RT model, a different kind of bike.
The 2014 model uses the same liquid-cooled boxer engine as the one used by GS bikes, with 125 HP and 125 Nm (92 lb-ft) of torque and has plenty of features set out to cater to your every need on those long holiday trips you plan on setting off to.
Just as the S1000R model, the R1200RT will benefit from Rain and Road riding modes, Automatic Stability Control (ASC) and even Pro mode with Dynamic riding mode and Hill Start Control as an optional feature.
Other optionals include the so-called Dynamic ESA (fancy words for electronic suspensions) and LED daytime running lights. As for the dash, it's now fitted with a color 5.7" display and easy-to-read gauges.
As for the colors available for the new bike, you can have your pick out of Quartz Blue Metallic and Callisto Grey Metallic Matte, combined with Dark Slate Metallic Matte and Ebony Metallic with Monolith Metallic Matte, all of them featured in the gallery below.
