Nice and fast move from BMW Motorrad as the Germans have already come up with the (European) price of their all-new R1200GS Adventure bike.
The base price for this coveted adventure-touring machine in Germany is €15,900 ($21,575). For more details on the new liquid-cooled BMW, please visit the 2014 R1200GS Adventure gallery. No price for the main options has been made public, but we believe that the 3 extra riding modes and the Electronic Suspension Adjustment optional will bring the price up 2-3 grand or so.
At the same time, BMW Motorrad reports that the sales in the 3 quarters are 8.4% higher than the figures for the same period of the past year. A total of 93,154 motorcycles and scooters were sold, compared to 85,944 last year.
The September 2013 sales were almost on par with those on the same month last year: 9,264 against 9,215. However, with the launch of the new R1200GS Adventure, we might expect that the sales for the final 2013 quarter to go up even more.
