The Bavarian manufacturer reveals detailed info on the 14th annual BMW Motorrad Days event which will take place during the first weekend in July, (4.6 July 2014). The place needs no introduction, as the host of this iconic world-class rally will be the same Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the same resort welcoming BMW and any other bike since 14 years ago.
This edition celebrated 90 Years of Championships and Titles in the dedicated Classic Tent. With vintage bikes being set on display, riders and motorcycling enthusiast will celebrate these true jewels of motorcycle racing excellence, from the “BMW R37 at the first German Championship in 1924 in the Eifel and Solitude races, the victories of the 'cast-iron' Schorsch Meier at the European Championships in 1938 and the victory on the Isle of Man in 1939, the first Senior TT event won by a non-British entrant,” as BMW says. From sidecars to Michael Dunlop’s S1000RR which has recently brought Superbike TT glory for BMW last week, BMW Motorrad will be more than happy to show it all off.

Multiple stunt world champion Chris Pfeiffer and world-record precision driver Russ Swift will also be present, alongside with representations of the oldest travelling wall of death which will take place every half an hour this year, upon popular request. The Classic Boxer Sprint is also on the menu, as well as a fashion show of BMW riding gear.

Camp fire, white beer and rock’n’roll come naturally, and BMW is already booking test rides with all the 2014 bikes. And enduro park, guided panoramic enduro tours and big parades are also scheduled for the first July weekend. And if you’re not yet licensed, the BMW Motorrad days are also a great occasion to test out if you really like the two-wheeled fun: you now can throw a leg over a bike in an enclosed area and under supervision from a motorcycle instructor.

More than 80 exhibitors are expected to take part in this awesome event, so in Garmisch you could basically meet everyone who has anything to do with BMW Motorrad, in any segment of the industry. And if the BMW Motorrad Days is the centerpiece of your vacation, you could also try the warm-up party on July 3rd at the BMW Museum in Munich. With a new record attendance of more than 40,000 visitors in 2013, this year’s edition is expected to be even bigger. Follow this link for a recap of the 2013 BMW Motorrad Days.
