Now here’s something you don’t see every day: the guys over at BMW somehow managed to crash a 2014 M3 prototype while conducting a new series of tests at the Nurburgring track.
We don’t know how this happened, but we bet the Germans are testing the new vehicle like there’s no tomorrow, probably to make sure their high-performance four-door sedan will be able to give the next-generation C63 AMG, which is set to arrive next year, a great run for the money.
Fortunately, our spy photographers, who were right on the spot to capture the crash, said the driver wasn’t harmed. As for the M3, the vehicle was recovered and sent back to the company’s technical center at the ‘Ring where damaged parts will most likely be replace and testing resumed.
As a reminder, the 2014 BMW M3 is expected to be fully revealed at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show in January.
