It's a great day, today! Somehow we pleased the Lord of the automotive industry and he has granted us with the ability to see into the future for a couple of days. The BMW i8 that is set to be launched on September 10, in production form, was unveiled thanks to some unofficial photos.
If these photos, grabbed from autowp.ru prove to be the real deal, we're looking at a great car, especially on the inside. The exterior seems to be roughly exactly what we expected, almost identical to the Concept car unveiled by BMW, without the transparent doors.

On the inside though, we're in for a surprise. The whole thing looks just amazing, completely new and refreshing, whilst also keeping the BMW spirit alive. Just like in the case of the i3, the i8 too manages to feel Bavarian in a conservative way and futuristic at the same time.

The instrument cluster is completely digital, the seats are high and thin, the start button is next to the gearshift knob on the center console. On the passenger side, the air vents are doubled and the position has been changed, being located closer to the center of the car.

Another interesting aspect you might notice is the blue circle around the logo on the steering wheel, a feature that seems to become a trademark for all i cars.
