2014 BMW i3 Review by CAR Magazine

The car BMW is throwing in the EV race is called i3 and, by all accounts so far, is definitely leading the pack despite being launched just a couple of months ago. Up until now all the reviews I read about the new car were positive but when it comes to CAR Magazine, you never know.
The Brits are known for going bias more than once before and I was genuinely interested to see what they had to say about the new city-car from Bavaria. As it turns out, it seems they liked it.

It was the first time I saw someone praise the exterior design of the i3. Apart from calling the body panels “stunning” they also praised the interior that is, as you already know by now, uses all kinds of eco-friendly or recycled materials.

The car’s handling around the city was also praised, the instant 184 lb-ft (250 Nm) of torque making for a pretty sleek and agile combination with the 1.2 tone weight of the car.

Bottom line, as the guys from CAR put it, the i3 is “far more appealing than any EV [we’ve] driven so far”. However, they are still undecided whether to call it a gamechanger from now or wait for a couple of months to see how the sales are doing. I’m pretty sure, they’ll be convinced this year.
