One of the big launches expected early next year is the upcoming BMW F80 M3. The new version of the sedan M car has been expected for quite a while now, especially since the F30 3 Series was launched back in 2012.
Launching the high-performance version in 2014 would make it 2 years since the production version of the 3er was launched, the lengthiest wait in the history of the brand, that usually unveils the M car around a year after the normal Bimmer was launched.

BMW is already teasing us with various bits and pieces of info about its new car that will be sharing a lot of parts with the Coupe version, now dubbed M4. One thing is for sure, the engines will be the same.

Both cars will be using a bi-turbo 3-liter 6-cylinder engine that develops 430 HP and a lot over 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. The performance levels will be unparalleled but people are still asking themselves how these two will sound like.

Today we got hold of a short video of the BMW M3 in an underground parking lot, after a cold start. The sound of the exhaust however, is quite awkward. It's not what we expected to put it mildly. You should check it out yourself.
