Earlier this year, at a private event in Estoril, Portugal, BMW revealed its M Performance Parts program for the brand new 4 Series Coupe. This came with a lot of good news.
First of all, the M Performance Power kits will be available for 3 models: the 420d, 430d and 435i, all of them posting power increase figures ranging from 16 HP and 40 Nm to 34 HP and 50 Nm of torque.

Going further into detail, the 420d will get a kit that takes it up to 200 HP if you want it to, the 430d will put down 272 HP while the 435i can go up to 340 HP thanks to the add ons. Now that sounds like a good deal but the trick is, you’ll also have to pay quite a hefty amount for all the goodies.

The best news, by far, was that the 4er will have a Limited Slip Differential as an ad-on optional feature, promising to deliver an unmatched experience in its segment. However, these parts will be available starting with 2014.

That being said, we still have to wait a couple of weeks until we get to order and have the parts delivered. In the video below, you can listen to one of the most important add-ons for the car, the M Performance exhaust. Made of stainless steel and with a different configuration compared to the stock version, the sound is definitely enticing.

Until the M Performance parts come out, we can take a look at photos of the upgraded car and listen to how awesome the engine on the 435i sounds like with the M Performance Exhaust in the video below. We should tell you though that it won’t come cheap as these parts usually cost thousands of dollars and we’re expecting the exhaust alone to set you back around $4,000 alone.
