This is not the first time we've shown you renderings of the new Audi A3 in one form or another, but this time, we have a little help from Audi themselves, since they recently revealed the A3 and S3 Sedans.
The next compact model scheduled to be revealed is the A3 Cabriolet. The previous generation A3 was for the first time available as a drop-top, but its shape was based on that of the hatchback. Now, the A3 Cabriolet will be larger, based on the sedan and looking like a smaller A5.
How do we know that? We have the latest spyshots to thank for revealing the overall shape of the car, and these renderings to fill in the cosmetic gaps. Theophilus Chin has released two rendered images of the S3 Cabriolet, which we think are very close to the real deal. He was able to integrate the shape of the boot and taillights from the new A3 Sedan, which makes everything look more realistic.
As you might have guessed, the S3 is not your run of the mill MINI Cooper rival. It's got a powerful 2.0 TFSI with 300 hp mated to a quattro all-wheel drive system. Expect 0 to 100 km/h to go by in less than 5 seconds. As you might already know, the S3 range already includes 3-door, 5-door and sedan versions. One more wouldn't hurt.
