Set to debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the 2014 Audi RS Q3 was officially unveiled by the German automaker today.
This new sporty Q3 is Audi's first RS model for the Q line-up, and the Ingolstadt-based company is ecstatically anticipating a "new class in the SUV segment".
Obviously more brawny than lesser Q3 models, the RS stands out through a series of RennSport design ingredients such as redesigned bumpers, black honeycomb grille, aluminum trim, rear diffuser, and a larger chromed tailpipe. The reduced ride height is also a big contributor to the cars overall aggressive looks.
At the interior the crossover comes with leather/alcantara sport seats, aluminum and carbon fiber trim, alloy pedals, flat-bottomed steering wheel and the RS MMI infotainment system. The options list includes GPS navigation, WLAN hotspot and Bose audio system for the more pretentious customers.
The 2014 RS Q3 will be powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine with 310 HP and 310 lb-ft, providing a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) acceleration time of 5.5 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
German pricing will be starting at €54,600, and deliveries are set to commence in fall 2013.
