2014 Audi A3 Sportback 1.4 TFSI 122 HP Acceleration Test

Since it's no longer the entry point to the Audi model range, the A3 has the right to act a little grown up. The compact model has already recorded over 3 million sales since its launch in debut 17 years ago and we wanted to see what the middle of the road A3 is like nowadays.

Using previous generation engine technology, the A3 1.4 TFSI 122 hp is among the cheapest models in the range of the all-new 2014 model's Sportback 5-door version.

Espen Hinsch from Norway filmed himself while driving the 122 hp hatchback with a manual and he says he only managed 10.1 seconds to 100 km/h, compared to the official 9.5 seconds. Of course, doing such tests with manual gearbox cars is always tricky because you need to land the gears at exactly the right times.

We'd also note that this basic Attraction model doesn't have a trick instrument panel of a higher spec A3. The seats are also fabric and are manually operated.
