2013 Yamaha YZF-R15 Gets Massive Updates for Australia

Also known as a v2.0, the new Yamaha YZF-R15 has been extensively revamped for the Australian market and is ready to ride. With an 149.8cc liquid-cooled engine and being capable to cruise at 120 km/h (74.5 mph), the new diminutive YZF has been brought quite close to the big racing machines.

Its racing character is not limited to the looks: underneath the nice, restyled bodywork the 2013 Yamaha YZF-R15 has a lot of surprise to offer. The forged piston and DiASil cylinder offer race-specced performance and low weight, while boasting better heat dissipation, less friction and increased wear resistance. Together with the updated ECU, the YZF-R15 offers a better ride with less emissions.

The new Yamaha YZF-R15 comes with wider tires and new rims, an updated cast aluminium swingarm and revised rear shock, R-series lights and twin seat. A new silencer has been loaded and the brakes now boast 220mm rotors, while the Deltabox frame has also received tweaking for better steering. No word on bringing this nifty new bike to the US and Europe so far, but the Oz riders can get it for 3,999 AUD which means $4,195 or €3,175.
