2013 WSBK: Alstare Leaves Suzuki for Ducati

Suzuki and Alstare have been together in the WSBK, SuperBike and Superstock series for almost 14 years, but it looks like things have finally come to an end: Alstare is no longer Suzuki's partner in motorcycle racing and has chosen Ducati Corse as the new team mate.
Together, Suzuki and Alstare have taken 3 world titles and won 64 races, stepping on the podium no less than 204 times, while Suzuki won 3 manufacturers titles and3 European titles, but once more, nothing lasts forever.

The new Team Ducati Alstare has declared that it was Suzuki who decided to end this relationship (video after the jump) and all they did was to move on and try to find the best team to carry on with. With Ducati being more successful outside the MotoGP, we can only hope things will be even better.

As for Suzuki, their absence during the 2012 may have been one of the causes for this hiatus. We can only wish them the best of luck. It's probably a dramatic change for both the manufacturer and sponsor, but wounds will finally heal. They almost always do, even if it takes a long time.
