The 2013 Volvo V40 Cross Country T5 AWD is pretty good with the sand. We’ve got the DTSC in Sport mode (there’s no Off) and the car allows us to perform controlled slides in a nice fashion.
Even with the optional sunroof, which is the size of China (no pun intended), the Car gave us plenty of confidence during the hailstorm we encountered while we were driving it. This feeling of protection is one of the top assets of this crossover.
The Cross Country loses nothing of the standard V40’s agility inside the city. The car gives you a clear feeling of refinement and is an excellent way of dealing with the urban frenzy.
Volvo has gifted the V40 with a cozy cabin, one that ticks all the right boxes. The rather limited luggage capacity may be an exception. Nevertheless, you can check out the car yourself in the Full HD photo gallery of our 2013 Volvo V40 Cross Country test drive.
