There are some cars that are so simple and elegant that they just make you want to be a Volvo owner. This is one of the, the all-wheel drive V40 Cross Country, which is just like the regular V40 hatchback, only better at getting you places.
The car was just revealed and already Volvo has released a couple of interesting videos that set the mood and sooth the driving soul.
The Cross Country sits 40 mm higher off the ground than the regular V40, while also being protected by plastic cladding for the new bumpers and sills. There are also protective plates for the front, back and sides of the car.
"The new V40 Cross Country is built on the heritage that started with the V70 Cross Country back in 1997. It is designed for those who want a sense of adventure in their everyday life," says Lex Kerssemakers, Senior Vice President Product Strategy & Vehicle Line Management at Volvo Car Corporation. He adds: "And when you want a break from the city, it is capable enough to take you and your gear to your favourite adventure and back. However, you still need to climb the mountain yourself,"
