Still in love with the old sidecar motorcycles and longing for that retro feeling? Sob no more, because they're not dead: and if you just don't believe us, taking a good look at the new 2013 Ural Patrol should definitely bring a broad smile on your face.
The 2013 Patrol is an all-terrain ready motorcycle which carries on the legendary character of the old Russian bikes. However, despite the old looks, these bikes boast a lot of technical improvements which could have not been imagined some 50 years ago for Soviet motorcycles.

On the engine side, the 2013 Ural Patrol sports the same old 749cc twin boxer engine packing a lot of torque (38 lb-ft or 51 Nm) and you can get the awesome 2WD as an option. If you plan to take this bike to the wild trails or ride it in winter, then the 2WD is most likely the best you can get. And with easy, hand lever-operated switching between the plain old single-wheel drive and the 2WD, things are even easier, helping you get through when the going gets tough.

A modern-day Brembo front brake with a floating rotor complements the drum ones for the rear and sidecar wheels, while the top-drawer Sachs suspensions will make riding on rough ground smoother than ever before thought possible on an Ural.

The 2013 Ural Patrol comes in powder coated Blue & White, Orange & Silver, Woodland Green and White, for $13,699 (€10,390).
