2013 Toyota Passo +Hana Japanese Commercial

Our passion for Japanese Domestic Market cars that you’ve never seen or heard off, today we bring you the slightly cute Toyota Passo. The car was launched in 2010 and shares its looks and platform with the Daihatsu Sirion or Boon and the Perodua Myvi.
Contrary to what you might think, this is not a kei car, it’s a subcompact/supermini, powered by either a 3-cylinder 1-liter or a 4-cylinder 1.3-liter. Size-wize, it’ about the same as a Fiat 500, and with five doors at hand, you can imagine it’s quite a squeeze... if you’re not Japanese.

The commercial is for the Passso +Hano, a special edition, and features two girls going sightseeing on an island. As they walk to the end of a pier, one of them yells out “don’t forget our last kiss”. Is her buyfriend out at sea?

We don’t know, but if you’d like to know more about the Passo +Hana, check out its official microsite at toyota.jp.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
