2013 Suzuki V-Strom 650 ABS, the Asphalt-Loving Adventure Bike

While ABS is still a fairly long way from being a critical system when it comes to riding through mud or gravel, we've seen the small version of the Suzuki V-Strom getting more and more oriented towards comfort and asphalt roads.

Now, don't get us wrong: comfort is good, especially when we're talking about long rides, and there's nothing wrong with bike becoming more comfortable for solo or two-up tours. It's just the obvious fact that bike manufacturers prefer to separate the off-road adventure from the street riding, so we believe that the 2013 V-Strom 650 ABS is more of a street-adventure bike.

However, the new 650 V-Strom looks really nice and compact, and is a very valuable bike for the not-that-tall riders. No matter whether you'll be using the 2013 V-Strom 650 ABS for daily commuting through the city traffic or are planning weekend trail adventures, this machine will carry you, your pillion and your luggage in style and comfort. And as long you don't bring those 3-spoke tubeless wheels to the big boulders areas, this are going to be fine.

The 6-speed tranny is optimized to deliver great performance with the sporty, injected V-twin engine and you'll most likely appreciate the 2013 V-Strom 650 ABS better in the high-rev zone on the highway or nice paved countryside roads than in the low-rpm range in the forest.

A base price for the 2013 V-Strom 650 ABS is yet to be announced, and a ton of optional accessories are available, too.
