Suzuki delivers a new mid-size bike ready for the next riding season in the shape of the SFV 650. This new revision carries on the heritage of the old SV650 series, one of the best-loved beginner bikes of all times.
The story goes ever on, with a 645cc V-twin engine packing enough power for fast trips and providing sufficient torque for slower city rides. The final chain drive transmission works well with the 6-speed gearbox, while the smooth, even spread of power will adapt to pretty much any kind of pilot.

Updated intake and exhaust systems will make the SVF 650 run smooth, while the compact, sturdy trellis steel frame offers a nice, upright position fit for both sporty rides and touring. The fork is not adjustable but the 7-step preload-adjustable rear shock will make sure your rubber stays on the ground, even on broken pavement.

The $7,999 US (6,200 €) MSRP announced by Suzuki is a bit steep compared to the 09 model as the SVF 650 drains around $1,100 (854 €) from your budget. It looks like this bike won't get ABS; Suzuki thought a three-disc braking system was enough. The 2013 SFV 650 is expected this fall in showrooms, available in Metallic Thunder Gray or Glass Sparkle Black color schemes.
