Suzuki's DR series needs little introduction for the fans of off-road adventure. It's now time to introduce to you the new 2013 Suzuki DR-Z400S, a street-legal trail-fun bike which will provide both off-the-road fun and cross-town convenience.
At the heart of the 2013 Suzuki DR-Z400S beats a 398cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke thumper specially tuned for low-rev torque delivery. The dry-sump lubrication eliminated the oil pan and allows for a lighter build, while also offering a bigger ground clearance.
The smaller weight of the 2013 Suzuki DR-Z400S (144 kg/ 317 lbs) is also backed by the use of magnesium-alloy clutch, magneto and cam covers. The manual clutch actuates a 5-speed gearbox and the chain final transmission. 18” rear/ 21” front wheels are great for rough terrain and will easily carry the bike over gaps and boulders.
Suspension is of course, adjustable and the digital instrument cluster provides all the essential riding info. The 2013 Suzuki DR-Z400S is street- and highway-legal so there's no place you can't take it. The 2013 model comes in white and retails for $6,499 (€5.090).
