Even though the Dodge Viper is now out of production, the vehicle still holds the Nurburgring lap record for mainstream supercars. However, Chrysler won’t keep the beast locked for long, as a new generation is set to arrive in April at the New York Auto Show.
However, until then, Chrysler is willing to tease us and has now released the first sketch of the 2013 SRT Viper - the vehicle will not be marketed under the Dodge brand anymore. The SRT Facebook page gave us this teaser and, even though it’s impossible to distinguish the details, we can see clear connections to the first generation of the Viper - the GTS Coupe, to be more precise.
There’s no official info on the vehicle, but earlier reports indicate that the vehicle will use a 8.7-liter V10 unit, which will be tamed (if the driver wants it to be) by traction control for the first time in the model’s history.
