Here's some light on the upcoming new lid from Shoei, the GT-Air, a full-face helmet which brings some upgrades to the existing range of products and hoping to set a new standard.
One of the key features Shoei insists on is the new CNS-1 visor and the integrated sun shield. Touted to block up to 99% of the UV radiation, these two shields are manufactured with a 3D molding method which ensures distortion-free vision across the entire visual field. Even more, like any similar helmets in Shoei's range, the GT-Air comes witha raised forehead portion to accommodate the sun shield without sacrificing the EPS liner integrity.

The upper vent has a three-position construction to ensure the optimal air flow according to the rider's preferences, while the liner is completely removable and washable. Shoei also claims the Max-Dry liner of the GT-Air will absorb and then dissipate moisture twice as fast as the traditional liners.

Shoei GT-Air comes in three shell sizes and with a Pinlock lens, while a breath and chin guard are also included in the package. The helmet is covered by a 5-year warranty from date of purchase and a 7-year one from the manufacture date, whichever would come first. And the price is consistent with all the nifty features: the 2013 Shoei GT-Air will be soon available for $550 (€410).
